Hello Famiia and Amigos :)
I heard Sacramento has finally got some rain?! Si?! If so I am so happy! This week here in good ole Utah has been pretty interesting! Tons of highs and lows this week!
To start off, I guess I spoke to soon when I talked about being healthy and feeling good. This whole week I have been pretty sick and when I finally went to the doctors he said I have an upper respiratory infection and he thinks its the early stage of Bronchitis! Where did that come from?! I dont know! But lets just say its been a tough week but I am still smiling and loving this work. Its difficult because usually when I am sick I can sleep it off but we are such a tight schedule that theres nothing you really can do.
As a district we were all planning on going to the temple this morning but I sounded so terrible and was feeling so sick that My companera thought it would be best to sleep in. Its hard because I want to serve with all my might but my body is just being difficult! I have been praying a lot and I know that I will be okay, just takes time. I am thinking of asking for a blessing but we will see! Anywho wash your hands and say your prayers because Jesus and Germs are EVERYWHERE!!!
So aside from being sick, a lot of wonderful things happened! Hermana Bailey and I got a real investigator this week named Brain. And Brian really taught us a lot. We had so many wonderful spiritual experiences with him. He is reading the Book of Mormon and believes in the Restoration and he has such a sweet spirit. But hermana Bailey y yo only got to teach him this week. We get a new investigator next week. But we had our last lesson with Brian and we testified of the Savior and his love for us and the spirit was so strong! It was hard to say by to him but I am so thankful Heavenly Father allowed us to teach someone so special like Brian!
I realized that I haven't really told you a lot about my companera! Hermana Bailey is from South Jordan Utah and she is just so amazing! I feel so lucky and blessed to have gotten her as a companera especially this week! She has really taken care of me and her family is so sweet and are always checking up on me also! I am so so so thankful for her and we really do get along so well! I love her and we are so alike and connect so well that I know Heavenly Father was mindful of me when giving me her as my companion. We love each other and love this work! Spanish is coming along! Theres so much to learn! I cant believe I leave in a little over 2 weeks!!
! I got to see Elder Argyle again on my way to the doctors (such a tender mercy of the Lord) and I cant believe he is leaving next week!!! Time is the weirdest thing here in the MTC. The days seem like weeks and the weeks seem like days! So sorry this email is really short! I promise next weeks email will be better and longer! But before I close I just want to say Thank you to everybody who helped me get here! There is no place I would rather be and I am overwhelmed with gratitude of everybody who have been there for me and helped me to get here. I love this work and I am learning so much and though I am sick, I know I can do it all with the Lord. I dont want to stop and I just pray that you all know how thankful I am and know how important this work is. I love you all and I am so happy to be here :) I send my love to you all! Have a great week! Love you all!
Oh and kind of funny! this past sunday I was asked to give the opening prayer in spanish!!!! I was nervous at first but I did it and it went well, so yeah I said my first prayer in spanish in sacrament meeting!
much love,
Hermana Guerrero
