Guess what? I'm a MOM!

HOLA :)

Hello everyone this past week has been pretty life changing! It has been absolutely amazing and a lot of new changes have happened!

First off...IM A MOM :))) I have my first hija and her name is Hermana Cuc. For those who dont understand what I mean, in the mission world you become a "Mama" or "Papa" when you are called to train! And my sweet companion who has been here for a week (woot woot!) is from Guatemalaaaaa :) She is the sweetest cutest little thing and it has been a lot of fun. A huge responsibilty to train especially because I am opening a new area with her. But even so, it has been a lot of fun. It also has really forced me to speak all that I can because if I dont nobody will! I am learning a ton and I still cant believe I am training but the Lord and Presidente of our mission all have mucho confianza en mi and I am just very grateful to serve. It is everything to me and I have and still am falling more and more in love with the work. It is the greatest work ever and it is the most important. I still have so much to learn but I am loving this spiritual adventure.

It is so cute, everything I do my comapnion does and repeats and it just makes me want to always be the best example and she has such a very strong story about how she came on a mission. She is actually 25 but looks more like 16 but anyways she is the only member in her family and she is a family of 9. Her parents didn't approve of her going on a mission but she is here and she had a special leader and friend help´her get to where she is today. I can relate to her, the gratitude of great leaders in the church. It is beautiful. She is a little shy but I am getting her out of her shell and going to train her to be her very best becauase she is amazing. I am thankful to be here in my new area, Venta Prieta! It is beautiful and reminds me a lot of Southern California! Except there aren't any beaches but hey, maybe thats a good thing hehehe :) I am thankful to be here and to learn so much and to help the people here.

We had absolutely no people to teach the first day because the area was so stinkin new BUT we contacted so many people and now we have people to teach and help and serve! We also have a lot of work to do in the ward as well being that a lot are inactive right now but are ready to work. Also cool fact: we have Presidente and his wife in our area and so that is super super cool! Y we have the assistents to Presidente as well. Lots of work and we are ready! I hoenstly think that training is one of the hardest but most joyful things to do! The people are very kind here, some of the other religions who want to argue aren't BUT we just love them anyway and well that gets them more upset, but hey, we are representatives of Christ how can we NOT LOVE ALL!!!!

We have a lot of work to do in this area being that it is new for us but I am so excited! Hermana also speaks another dialect from Guatemala so, I am going to be learning some of that too! How cool! The one thing I really learned this past week is that the Lord will always guide us and give us the strength we need to do the tasks he wants us to do. At times we think how? But He always provides the way and lifts the burden HE TRULY DOES. I have felt it and still feel it. He never commands or asks something of us that we can't do:) I know without a doubt that this is the true church and that through sincere heartful prayer and scripture study we will be given strength spiritually and physically to do all that we need to. I am thankful for this calling and to be here and serve the people and family of Lehi. God loves you all and so do I! if you need anything just email me and I am here :) I leave this email with my testimony that Lord is true and we are in HIS work and in the last days. Give it your all and serve Him and others. I love you all! Lets have a great week!

Cambio's

Hello Family and Friends!

So. sorry I havent emailed in a Little bit, time is crazy and honestly we have been trying to make it to all our appointments that sometimes internet time has been sacrificed, also I broke a door last week so that took some time as well.

But wow, this past week was absolutely amazing!  I cant even put it all into words, but to summarize it ,we had entrevistas con our Presidente of the mission and also had another baptism of one of our investigators named Carlos. It was really special!

Cool fact, we live on the same street as our assistents to Presidente and so last night they came to our house to drop off the clothes we need for our investigadores baptisms this month and so while talking to them…because they know everything, we were told that all trhee of us are being transferred and moving to DIFFERENT AREAS! Que que que?! I have LOVED my cycle here in Villas de Pachuca and am so thankful for the opportunity I had to be able to not only serve in this area but be with my companions. I have honestly learned so so very much and am truly so thankful.

Every day I am learning something new and every day my love for this work just grows and grows and sometimes I cant handle it. Hey, is that cheesy? Well, if so that is okay because there honestly is no where else I would rather be than serving the Lord!

We get 3 americanas tonight anmd I am so excited to greet them and just get to know them and help them out a little bit hehe, if they ware freaking out. So, I have cambios and might be training which is a little nerve racking but I am just full of animo to serve and do this work! I also will be actually staying in the same house just now be serving in our area. Which this area is beautiful! I am excited because while we were walking and such throughout our time here, I have contacted some people and so I have some references and the assistensts de president are in the same area so I know they will be helping me a lot and I am excited to be in the same barrio as them because they are super awesome!

This past week I had a really beautiful experience and recognition of the atonement of our Savior Jesus Christ and really felt the power of the atonement in my life. I am so imperfect, I mean so imperfect! but, with the atonement I can still be whole and am still given a chance to be better and I just want to tell you with all my heart that we can always feel better through the atonement and that we should use it! That is why Jesus cristo is center to the plan, to the gospel, to EVERYTHING! He made the way for us and, without Him we are nothing, I am for sure nothing. How humbled I am to be a representative of Him and to feel his atoning sacrifice in my life. The burden of our sins can be made light. We just have to go to Him. The burden of our afflictions can be rough, but again we can go to HIM and be happy and find and have the joy in this life that is meant to be ours.

This week was absolutely beautiful! and I am thankful to know this gospel and for the people who have helped me to be exactly where I am today. I love this work and my mission with all my heart! I am happy and whole and I know it is because of this gospel! Till next week! I love you all and remember change is good! Tomorrow I will find out who my companion is…awhhhhhhh!!!!

Love you all and this gospel and my savior and heavenly father so much! Have a wonderful week!

With much love,

40 Luchadores!

Hello Everyone!

I hope you all are doing well and feeling the blessings of the Lord because there are so many things to be thankful for!
I am full of gratitude and hope you know how grateful I am to be here in Mexico serving our Heavenly Father and helping the people here find true happiness and feel and see the love of God in to their lives.

We have a ton a work each day. Presidente of our mission not only has been inspired that in our mission we should teach 40 lessons to members of the church each week to our investiagatores but that we are to contact 10 new people each day and lead the promise that we will find investigatores who have been ready to hear of this great message and will be baptized! So, we are contacting and teaching a lot! We haven't reached to 40 yet but we are getting there.

We have 5 baptisms set for this month and we are absolutely thrilled and so happy for them. It is such a testimony to me to serve the Lord and serve the people here. Seeing the joy in their eyes and their excitement and dedication to get baptized is beautiful.

Each week we get a letter from the President of our mission and his message this week really did a lot for me. It was about our own conversion and always making sure we have a strong conversion that even with all the trials and challenges and problems in our life, we will be strong in the gospel and not lose faith. We read the story about the 40 luchadores and it was beautiful, it gives two messages to me. One, being the example at all times and in all things, and two being so converted that if we were to have to put our lives down for the Lord we would do it. I would like to think if being on my mission and serving the Lord with all my heart required my life, I would be strong in my faith and do whatever I would need to in the work of the Lord. Everyday, every choice you make either keeps you on the path to eternal life and happiness or takes you away from what's most precious and important. We all have a purpose in life and everyday we are more converted or less. I remember a leader once told me that we never are done doing all we can, we either continue to grow forward with our faith or start to go backwards. We either are more convereted or less and being here on a mission I have realized how much my soul needs to be nourished through the spiritual things on life. I am thankful to be here and really figure out what things are most important! I love you all and hope you are doing well! God is real and the gospel of Jesus Chriust is the way we can have happiness in our lives. Doesn't remove the trails BUT it brings peace and joy in no other way!

Tenga buen semana y know les quiero MUCHISIMO!
