HOLA :)
Hello everyone this past week has been pretty life changing! It has been absolutely amazing and a lot of new changes have happened!
First off...IM A MOM :))) I have my first hija and her name is Hermana Cuc. For those who dont understand what I mean, in the mission world you become a "Mama" or "Papa" when you are called to train! And my sweet companion who has been here for a week (woot woot!) is from Guatemalaaaaa :) She is the sweetest cutest little thing and it has been a lot of fun. A huge responsibilty to train especially because I am opening a new area with her. But even so, it has been a lot of fun. It also has really forced me to speak all that I can because if I dont nobody will! I am learning a ton and I still cant believe I am training but the Lord and Presidente of our mission all have mucho confianza en mi and I am just very grateful to serve. It is everything to me and I have and still am falling more and more in love with the work. It is the greatest work ever and it is the most important. I still have so much to learn but I am loving this spiritual adventure.
It is so cute, everything I do my comapnion does and repeats and it just makes me want to always be the best example and she has such a very strong story about how she came on a mission. She is actually 25 but looks more like 16 but anyways she is the only member in her family and she is a family of 9. Her parents didn't approve of her going on a mission but she is here and she had a special leader and friend help´her get to where she is today. I can relate to her, the gratitude of great leaders in the church. It is beautiful. She is a little shy but I am getting her out of her shell and going to train her to be her very best becauase she is amazing. I am thankful to be here in my new area, Venta Prieta! It is beautiful and reminds me a lot of Southern California! Except there aren't any beaches but hey, maybe thats a good thing hehehe :) I am thankful to be here and to learn so much and to help the people here.
We had absolutely no people to teach the first day because the area was so stinkin new BUT we contacted so many people and now we have people to teach and help and serve! We also have a lot of work to do in the ward as well being that a lot are inactive right now but are ready to work. Also cool fact: we have Presidente and his wife in our area and so that is super super cool! Y we have the assistents to Presidente as well. Lots of work and we are ready! I hoenstly think that training is one of the hardest but most joyful things to do! The people are very kind here, some of the other religions who want to argue aren't BUT we just love them anyway and well that gets them more upset, but hey, we are representatives of Christ how can we NOT LOVE ALL!!!!
We have a lot of work to do in this area being that it is new for us but I am so excited! Hermana also speaks another dialect from Guatemala so, I am going to be learning some of that too! How cool! The one thing I really learned this past week is that the Lord will always guide us and give us the strength we need to do the tasks he wants us to do. At times we think how? But He always provides the way and lifts the burden HE TRULY DOES. I have felt it and still feel it. He never commands or asks something of us that we can't do:) I know without a doubt that this is the true church and that through sincere heartful prayer and scripture study we will be given strength spiritually and physically to do all that we need to. I am thankful for this calling and to be here and serve the people and family of Lehi. God loves you all and so do I! if you need anything just email me and I am here :) I leave this email with my testimony that Lord is true and we are in HIS work and in the last days. Give it your all and serve Him and others. I love you all! Lets have a great week!
Con muchor amor
Hermana Guerrero
