What a week!! I don’t even know where to begin because so much happened this past week!
First of all, we had our first baptism in Venta Prienta and it was beautiful! I am so thankful that the Elders and members helped me that day because it was a crazy day! I could see all of the opposition, that was trying to stand in our way, but we saw many miracles, and Heavenly Father blessed us to do His will for His Son and for our investigator Yael.
At first Yael’s mother did not want him to be baptized, but her heart was softened and now she wants to be baptized as well! The members of our Ward are helping us and it is great! I know my companion was so ecstatic as well, because it was an exciting day and it was beautiful!
This past week the AP’s (assistants to the president) invited us to try and teach 50 lessons and I am so pleased to say that we did it! We did it with the help of Heavenly Father and the members along with a lot of hard work! It was so neat to see! Actually on the last day we still had 8 lessons left to teach and we had the baptism to worry about and I was so focused on that that in my mind I was thinking, well, we might not be able to meet that goal, but at least we have this baptism for Yael which is more important. But during my prayer I felt, “we can do this with Heavenly Father’s help” and I feel that all of our problems reguarding that day were all blessings to help us accomplish what we needed to do! I can’t find the words to express how happy we are!
I am so humbled and filled with gratitude.
I am so very happy here and trying to do better and better everyday. I feel that at this time I am growing more and more each and every day. And I am trying to get into a routine as a companionship so that things will run smoothly. I love it!
As far as the language goes, I am trying to be more humble with my spanish. I know I am not perfect, but everytime I recieve corrections I know I need to listen because it is all part of my progression as a missionary.
But, after this week, I feel like we can do anything with the Lord’s help! So, I am ready to continue to work hard and to grow more and more.
Thank you for your love and support for me! I love my mission! Have a great week!
Love,
Hermana Guerrero
